SERVE
The lifeblood of any organization is the involvement of its members. Riverside Presbyterian is no exception! Our members serve in a variety of ways. Some serve in elected leadership, either on Session or on the Board of Deacons. The Session is the governing body of the church. It is the group that decides how the ministry of Riverside Presbyterian will take shape. The Board of Deacons is the group that provides care to the membership. Both serve vital roles that ensure the well-functioning of the church!
The Session, the governing body of the church, is made up of Commissions. A list of the commissions and a description of their ministries can be found on this tab. Each commission is staffed by volunteers and has room for more members!
There are other ways to serve as well. We have groups that pray, sew, cook, garden, sing, and ring [bells]. If you have a special talent, we’d love to help you utilize it for the Kingdom!

COMMISIONS
Where do you fit in? What is God calling you to do? A commission is more than the leader of the group, it takes all of us working together to make things happen! We have several commissions to get involved in: Worship, Education & Spiritual Formation, Stewardship & Finance, Mission, Property, Community Engagement, Staff Resources, Congregational Life, and Communications. We'd love for you to join us.
Other Ways to Serve
Concert Support
Our Concert Series has many moving parts, from coordinating performers,, welcoming attendees and collecting tickets, providing programs, to assistance with parking.
Fellowship Team
Help procure, setup, and provide refreshments after worship in the Fellowship Hall. The Fellowship Team also helps provide special luncheon opportunities throughout the year (Potlucks, Soup Sunday, Taco Bar, etc.)
Audio/Visual Booth
The Audio/Visual Team coordinates sound and visual effects for Sunday worship services, concerts, specialty services, and much more.
Greeters and Ushers
Greeters and ushers are needed each Sunday to help worship run smoothly. Greeters welcome everyone as they enter the Sanctuary. Ushers provide bulletins, collect the offering, and help attendees to their seats (if needed).
Liturgists
Liturgists share God's word with us each Sunday, as they read the provided scripture passage during the worship service.
